Westbound I-94

CLOSEST CITY:

START DATE:

PROJECT:
Improvements to 9 miles of I-94 between M-14 and Carpenter Road, just east of US-23. Work includes concrete pavement repairs and resurfacing.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
Westbound I-94 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12. In addition, the following ramps will be closed at the I-94/US-23 interchange:

Westbound I-94 to southbound US-23
Southbound US-23 to westbound I-94
Northbound US-23 to westbound I-94

The weekend closure is the final of four total weekend closures, one direction at a time, for concrete pavement repairs. During the closure, traffic will be detoured using M-14 and US-23.

Motorists are advised to plan extra time when traveling along westbound I-94 at this time. Alternate routes are strongly advised.

Waze is helping out by e-mail.

I've reviewed all of the airport road connections and corrected several of them.

MDOT says they are doing construction during the air show to ensure they get it finished before students flood back in to Ann Arbor for fall move-in.
