Ann Arbor I94 Ann Arbor Saline Rd Construction

Post by holtzj
There is a major construction happening at the Ann Arbor Saline interchange. north bound is now disallowed and the entrance exit onto I94 is all goofed up with bridge work. This will be for most of the summer. I'd make the modifications but it requires a Level 3 editor. I'll try to swing by there and then note what needs to happen so someone more powerful than me can make the edits

I've lowered the locks from Eisenhower to Oak Valley down to 1 for you. You can have a go with the construction edits since you pointed it out. The AM was slacking over Easter weekend... I also added a link to this in the Minor Construction thread for Michigan.

Waters and the area around Brookfield (including the one segment of Eisenhower) has been unlocked. If you have anything else you need, just post.

There have been a number of attempts by a few editors to come in and help with this, which created a few layers of issues (and a layer of overlapping Ann Arbor-Saline Rd segments for good measure :) ). I think a few of these attempts were likely due to the delay between editing and updating map tiles as well. In any case, it became a mess, so as Area Manager, I went in this morning and cleaned it up a bit and re-locked everything to 4 (A2-Saline Rd is normally locked at 3 but had been reduced to 1 so that holtzj could work on these edits). I drove under the bridge last week but have not driven at the surface level, and it looked like there was no traffic in either direction, which leaves me wondering if this has entered "phase 2" where the whole bridge is closed and not just southbound. I haven't been able to find anything yet online for the status, but I will try to drive the area tomorrow to verify how it currently looks.

EDIT: After driving it today, I made some tweaks. We are definitely not in phase 2 yet, so I must have just missed it when the light for NB was stopping people. Also found this with a diagram of the different phases: http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/ind ... nn_ar.html

Thank you sir. Another issue that need to be corrected though which I still don't have the necessary super powers.
1) The section of Waters road between A2-Saline and the entrance to the parking lot west of A2-Saline, https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-83.76 ... 62&env=usa, is closed completely, Thus I need to stop all roads from turning onto the Level 3 road, which I can't since its a level 3 road.

For those coming to this post from the construction thread. Heres the release from MDOT http://www.wcroads.org/node/2160

Another item I found
The intersection at Eisenhower and Ann Arbor-Salineee If you went west on Eisenhower through the intersection the road would become Brookfield Dr. https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-83.76 ... 10&env=usa This entrance to that sub is closed. I changed that road to a one way from the intersection to stop any traffic to the intersection from the sub. But also:
1) Eisenhower cannot go straight.
2) A2-Saline driving south cannot turn right
3) A2-Saline driving north cannot turn left

Fixing A2 one road at a time
