Bridge at Grand Ave & 63rd open

Post by GrimesGuy
Heard on the news this morning that the bridge is finally open. Looks like the1who & peedasun both did work in this area to show the construction & prevent routing.

As a lowly level 1 I can't hook it all back up. Can one of you do it?

I know there is a unlock forum, but figured one of you might get auto emails from this location.

Oh and FYI, I updated in GMM.

Just reconnected and lowered the level down to 1. Double check things over in that area to make certain it looks good. Based on the release schedule for map tiles, the changes should go live tomorrow morning if made by noon today.

Thanks for staying on top of things!

Out of curiosity, how's your experience been so far now that you've gained experience with both Map Maker and the Waze Editor?

Have you started using any add-ons for the Waze Editor yet?

No problem. I don't have the ability to get out there and check, so I'll trust your judgment.

Waze is much more simple. Google Maps has a lot of nice detail to it, but for rapid deployment and more of a pure navigation system, I've enjoyed Waze as Google's navigation interface just doesn't impress me yet. They obviously have more data and resources, but with up-to-date edits and things properly fixed in Waze, I'd rather use it than Google Maps Navigation to route to a destination.

In terms of add-ons, there's a couple depending on what type of browser you're using. Are you on IE, Chrome, FireFox or Safari for editing?

My primary as well!

For Chrome look into Tampermonkey https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... fkfo?hl=en to install userscripts.

LiveMap UR Overlay (LMUR)
This userscript allows you to see issues on the http://www.waze.com/livemap.

WME Color Highlights
Allows coloring of road segments and is hugely helpful for spotting issues or differentiating things like parking lot segments from regular streets. Lots of customizations.

WME Junction Angle
This add-on will help show the angle measurements at intersections. Geometry is HUGE in terms of the instructions Waze provides and this makes it dead simple to abide by best practices for geometry https://www.waze.com/wiki/Junction_Style_Guide.

These are the primary ones, but are great for enhancing the overall editing experience.

One other thing, if you happen to be a keyboard jockey, have a gander at the keyboard shortcuts... there's lots, and makes me wish Map Maker would take a hint from Waze, but it makes editing much much more efficient.

bretmcvey, thanks for doing this so quickly. It didn't look like you could go from the bridge south, so I disconnected and put the intersection back. No it looks great.

I like the simplicity of Waze. I only started using it when GMM was down for awhile. I haven't started using any add-ons. Which do you suggest I look at?

Chrome is my primary. But if you've found another provides a better experience for editing, I'm open to giving it a try.
