The other thing is that Waze does not yet search it's internal address system as it is just being rolled out. See item #28 in the FAQ to understand how Waze translates addresses into a navigation point.

Until your drives are registered, you won't be able to edit in your area and you need to read the editing guidelines for your country, or the generic guidelines in the wiki, before you start editing.
