It's an interesting idea, but it would be akin to showing where stop signs and traffic lights are in the app – kind of a waste of resources, because it's not really relevant to navigation (as opposed to, say, a "no left turn" or "one way" sign), and Waze will account for it naturally in its automatic detection of traffic speeds and so forth.

Waze does not currently have any feature to remind users of traffic laws in any particular jurisdiction, though it's an interesting idea. But I imagine, if anything, it'd be speed limits we see in the app first.

It's becoming an industry standard at this point. Most every other GPS provider is putting speed limits in, so Waze is, in that category, behind.

Speed limits are in the long-term plan for Waze, I believe. It's an industry standard at this point to include speed limit data. But that's a different topic for a different day.
dalewj wrote:And as for navigation, yes it matters if my minor highway is 30, but a side road next to it is 35 (and yes this happens all the time in my area) I would like to be sent to the 35 mph road. And don't even get me started that my 30mph minor highway is listed as a major highway on waze.... that's another argument.
"Highway" is just a word. Ignore it. We (I) put a lot of time and research into the function that road types have in the routing system. If you want Waze to do what it's supposed to do – avoid traffic and give you a better route – that's how it has to be.
