Report permanent poorly designed on-ramps
I think it would be nice to flag freeway on-ramps that are awkward to merge. One of them that I have in mind is Parkdale and Highway 417
It's an uphill ramp, with noise blocking panels, restricting the visibility. It's also a short merge lane. What would commonly happen is one of the following:
[*]Traffic is going at full blast, 100km/h+, and a driver doesn't hit the gas hard enough, and merges haphazardly.
[*]Traffic is actually pretty bad, but you don't know the conditions, so you expect to crest at 70km/h or so, and then finds out that you'd have to slow right down because of the short merge lane.
A basic reduced visibility on-ramp, or a short merge lane, or a crowded merge lane where cars entering competes with cars exiting in a short amount of space would be nice. This combined with the traffic warning should give enough hints on what to do, and avoid it if necessary.
