Ability for area managers to add road closures and hazards

Post by Miettunen
Instead of having to rely on the high level requirement in certain countries, area managers should be able to add road closures and long-lasting hazard notices on the map in the areas they manage. Currently we have to rely on Country Managers who are already busy and it creates unnecessary work for us having to create map multiple map views and copy paste links every few weeks when we could just do it ourselves.

Especially during large constructions, like currently our city is constructing a tramway and roads all around the city are either completely closed or traffic flow is severely limited, therefore making Waze almost useless since nobody is keeping up the road closures.

I believe this would be beneficial for both parties; Waze and its' users.

I am a long-time Waze user and back in the day I was able to do it myself.

The ability to set closures is set by each country, you should talk to your Country Managers to find out why they restrict it to high ranked editors. The UK allows L3 editors to set closures, L3 is also the minimum to apply for Area Manager.

Here's a different option...trusted editors can be given RTC permissions regardless of rank. This is up to the senior editors in the country, but it can be done. This is the same as having a Rank 1 CCP who can set closures.

The benefit of having RTC is the editor can lock any segment, not just those at their rank and below.

Disagree. You can ask for CM for up your editor level, instead of modify this.
