Yards is planned.

+1 Come on Waze, yards is a really basic unit of distance missing from an otherwise great app.

Just come to support this request.
I'm used to Yards in other sat navs, and don't forget our road signs in the UK use yards, not feet.

The countdown markers to junctions and crossings for example.. They show 300, 200 and 100 yards to go.

Miles and... feet?

Hi Folks,

May I propose that "feet" distance is replaced by "yards"?

When travelling in a car a foot is a very small distance to visualize. Personally I struggle to visualize a distance in feet while driving as I think most people would do. In order to judge a distance I have to do quick mental flip-flops to divide the feet distance by 3 to get it into yards before I can fully comprehend the directions I'm being given; all this while trying to navigate a busy, unfamiliar route and pick from two junctions that might close together. To justify this further, all our road signs in my country (UK) are in miles and yards - not feet.

I'd also like to support the request to add miles/yards as specific units of measurement; this would be an excellent addition to the app for UK users.

If this was planned a couple of years ago as noted earlier in this bread, is there any chance it will be added soon? Here's hoping... :-)

A new Waze user becoming very frustrated by "feet " as a unit of measurement here in the U.K.!

I would accept Miles/Metres but why not Miles/Yards?

Would be very simple as there are three feet to every yard!

I agree, feet as a measure of distance in the UK is meaningless. Suggest use of yards or metres.

inch, feet, yard, mile are obsolete.
Give up already.

Yards would be useful. Metric uses km/hour for speed which takes some mental calculation

I agree - I am about to stop using Waze because of the use of Feet. I am currently trying using Km and metres but this is making this navigation less than perfect here in UK.
