Samsung Nexis and waze reload not syncing

My Samsung Nexus was having critical failures that required a system reload. After reload, I reinstalled waze on my phone and logged in with facebook. Problem is, I had just received my sword prior to departing for Afghanistan for deployment, upon launch of Waze, I was put back as a beginner (baby waze). The app found my account but would not update to where I was. I went through the settings and forums but found no similar incident. How can I get my status back to where I was? I will be home next month.
