Unlikely to be built unless you can show 80% of Waze users would use it.

I'm chiming in here too on this, I'm shocked it hasn't been implemented already...

Clearly, Waze doesn't want me handling the phone and being distracted, as every time I open and close the app I have to lie and tell it I'm the passenger. I travel a lot in unfamiliar cities, using my GPS in an unfamiliar place almost certainly means that I'm going to need to be holding my phone and looking and listening to the right places to go...I have missed many an off ramp doing this...

Lesser GPS systems have HUD, absolutely shocked Waze doesn't...

I'd like to see this as an option. Also integration with Google glass.

I would love a HUD display. Another great feature would be for people that use dash mounts, to make a dashcam feature so that while the GPS is running, the camera on the phone would record 5+ minute loops in case of accidents. This would ensure that EVERYONE would be using Waze at all times and not just the occasional point a to point b.
