Well. A real HUD is great (e.g. in BMW5). But with a normal windshield it's almost impossible to have a real and usable HUD.

Would love to have the HUD!!! I tried HUD from HUDWAY, it follows google map too much that the corner are all weird. If waze have HUD, it would be totally AWESOME!!!

I am by no means a :ugeek: programmer - but asking for HUD Mode has got to be about as difficult a solution as asking for a new "custom" Display Setting. All you need to do is invert/reverse the display so it appears the way it should when it reflects off the glass.
I use mine on the iPhone 5s, and to be honest - when I am driving in the daytime, it's hard to see what the icons are ahead. When I'm on an interstate with lots of Wazers (icons) I find myself taking off my prescription sunglasses - and sticking my face close to the screen so see what certain icons are. Making sure none are LEA.
I've been looking at some of the HUD products out there - but don't want to give up my Waze NAV. And lets be real - I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata with built-in NAV on a nice big screen - but I still prefer Waze!
Common guys.... make it happen!

Head up display would be an amazing feature, because right now it is very unsafe to use the phone.
Why don't you make WAZE compatible with "https://www.navdy.com/" ?
It would be so awesome to set alerts or other situation with a gesture!

I actually started to commute home in the late afternoon and early evening. I noticed that I can lay my Galaxy on my dash board and view the display as if it were a Heads Up Display. With one minor exception. There is no way to revers the display so the reflection presents to the driver correctly. One simple switch to enable "mirror imaging" would enable this. Come on! This is a great idea. I am not the first to mention it. And it would be very easy to enable... Make a great app the best app.

I would buy an aftermarket HUD for use with WAZE.... Id love to see Waze integrated in car HUD/built in GPS any way possible.
