Welcome to the Waze Help Center translation team! Opening a translation project for the Help Center is an exciting step towards expanding the accessibility of Waze in your community. In order for this process to go as smoothly as possible there are a few important points to keep in mind as you begin translating.
What needs to happen in order for the Help Center to be live in your language:
All resources need to be 100% translated
All resources need to be 100% reviewed
The Help Center translation projects consists of two kinds of articles
Support articles: These are the articles that appear in the online Help Center
Responses to Wazer tickets: These are automatically generated emails that will be sent to Wazers based on the issues that they report.
The Help Center Project is extremely dynamic
Once the Help Center articles are uploaded and live in the online Help Center, keep a look out for new articles and updates to existing articles. There may be new or updated articles added when a new version of the app is released.
Style
It is important that the terminology used to translate the Help Center is the same as what’s written in the app. Referencing the application and using the ‘suggestions’ tab in the translation editor, will help you be consistent.
Finally, please remember to take your time, and most importantly have fun!
We are here to help and assist if you have questions.
