And I was looking back in NJ again today, and look what I found. More level 6 mayhem:

I am not sure what this area looked like on Sept 4th, but on the 5th level 6 editor nata365 made updates which follow the old aerials. No where near the current GPS tracks. And allowing turns which did not exist at the time.

This is just one quadrant of the interchange, the other 3 quadrants were just as bad.

FYI, this is the intersection of US 1&9 and NJ 35. This was the first cloverleaf build in the United States, in 1929. Alas, now it is no longer a full cloverleaf.

Just an example of the many many many issues I am finding. This is a bit older, so apologies to ign_audrey for having to take the heat as my example.

Here we have a residential street crossing US 1&9. Only problem is there is a giant concrete barrier (a.k.a. a Jersey wall) in the middle of the highway. But somehow each and every turn is enabled.

Almost every cross street is like this and there are a ton of them (being NJ afterall).

Quick look shows ign_ivan and ign_svetlana were here too.

... and it looks like level 6 editor shai_waze also drives a tank and doesn't mind driving through concrete along a long stretch of NJ highway

And this was only a month ago.

EDIT: Add ign_olga to the list. Sigh. I guess I am not going to finish this stretch of road today.

Arrrg. How is this for recent. This is just outside of Newark airport. In Newark/Elizabeth NJ. Notice the city and state. Notice who created it and who edited it. Notice the update time.

Sigh. More terrorist acts from yesterday. And just outside of my permissions so I can't fix it.

If anyone (4) wants to fix it, have at it:

These ign editors are really ticking me off. I worked for a loooong time on Monday to clean up this intersection outside of Woodbridge mall in NJ. I used to drive here often. It is a fairly complex intersection as you may be able to see:

https://www.waze.com/cartouche/?zoom=7& ... FTTTFTTTTT

When I started it was a total mess of redundant segments and messed up turn restrictions. I played with a few approaches until I settled on what you see now. Complex, but the intersection is complex.

Anyway, I saw there was a new update request there (after I closed around 10 on Monday for that location). That is when I saw that ign_kateryna attacked within 24 hours of my changes.

- The two-way segments off of US-1 were made to be one way.
- Some geometry was changed.
- And EVERY SINGLE turn was enabled for EVERY node. For the intersection and all the jug handles. Again they must drive a tank and not care about concrete dividers and impossibly sharp turns.

These roads were edited by a level 3 editor (me) less than 24 hours prior and somehow they decided things were that incorrect????????????????

Frustrating to no end.

gettingthere wrote:WeeeZer, were the segments locked? Not that I think that they should have been but supposedly that is supposed to keep them at bay (which I am not believing).
They are now, but they were not. Since this is 700 miles from where I now live, I didn't want to lock too many things and block a local editor.

Every now and then NJDOT gets a good idea. But there are plenty of bad ideas out there too ;)

Thanks. I only wish the IGN editors had eyes like you!

Driveways look like they were part of a basemap import (created by admin). The roundabout was definitely created by IGN though.
