Seems like an improvement over the jug handle design in NJ. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jughandle
I see two improvements right away:
1.) Less land needed
2.) It moves some of the traffic away from the busy intersection
Though I wonder how well it would work for a large truck.
It is always fun to see people from out of state driving around NJ wondering why they can't make a left turn anywhere!
