The wiki for that should be available in the next few days...qwaletee wrote:We call that a "Michigan Right"

I believe it is time for us to be more supportive of these jolly drivers. Clearly there are issues here

Another useless General Error report...
I propose that we either
I propose that we either
- A- Get rid if it.
B- Make it a requirement to fill out the comment field.
C- Being that many drivers report while in motion, Waze should automatically send an email to reporters after ALL map error reports requesting additional info.
D- When a driver clicks on report map error there should be a pop-up box saying "I agree to be contacted by volunteer Map editors if more information is needed and to provide the best possible explanation regarding this report." The box should have a small check box saying "Do not show this message again".

Do I respond: "The request a crew feature is currently in beta testing. It will be available on version 3.8.1" ?

You are not wrong. Unless its in beta testing, I have never seen a report reporting that the report I reported has been de-reported. **deep breath**sketch wrote:Am I wrong? Although this does not diminish the fact that your reports are just that good

In that case, I guess my reports are that good as well. Or being ignored...Taco909 wrote:You've been around a lot longer than I, but I guess your reports are that good (or people are ignoring them )sketch wrote:Am I wrong? I get "Not There" responses from time to time when I've reported vehicles on the side of the road.
These are not Map Chats or private messages... they are the same type of pop-up as a Thank You, with the opportunity to respond same as a "Thank you" note.
Knowing now that it takes up to 4 minutes to propagate to the live map, that is understandable, as sometimes people here in LA will (illegally) pull to the emergency lane to take a phone call, or pull over for a few minutes to secure a load, or some other short stop.
I'll try to be more aware if a situation looks like it's wrapping up before reporting.
Unfortunately, it's something that's hard to test/demonstrate, since you can't "Not there" something unless it pops up on its own as you approach... and it was funny today driving with my wife, the popups that we were getting were quite different.
I guess the only way to test it is to throw out a bunch of bogus reports in an area populated by many Wazers and hope someone responds. Next time I get one, I'll try to remember to grab a screen capture, but it's a bit of a pain on the Galaxy.
Another interesting thing, she runs her colors in editor style, I run in default because traffic speeds are easier to see against the blue. Area Places were rendering on her map, but not on mine. It could have been the zoom level, I left mine at the default for our speed and she was zooming and panning all over the map looking for incidents ahead.
I use the swipe with the side of my hand on the galaxy and haven't had a problem, is that how you take screenshots?

I agree that it takes getting used to and can be extremely annoying at times. Contact with the glass is necessary but just a light brush will do it. Personally, I line my hand up on the side of the phone without touching the screen and then swipe across in one swift motion.. you should barely feel the screen, more like a light static. You can also take a screenshot by pressing the Power button and the home key simultaneously. I sometimes prefer that method when driving (or on moving apps like you mentioned) as it doesn't require as much concentration. Likewise this takes getting used to. Practice makes perfectTaco909 wrote:It works sometimes, but depending on the app that is open, it doesn't always work.
Often emails swipe to the previous message, Waze will open the report screen (and like a Thank you, once the "Not there" is cleared it's gone).
But I've only had the phone for about 6 months and have not really worked with the screen shots.
Do I need to be in contact with the glass, or just above it?
