Freakin Google Maps does this now! What a pain!!sockslabs wrote:This is why Waze should be allowed on airline flights. Rather than driving 4500+ miles, instead it would have directed him to the nearest international airport.

Is this one of those word riddles? "F-ckin' construction" --> "f-ck in construction" --> "con f-ck struction"...SkiDooGuy wrote:

imgur.com is very easy to use, just go to the page and drag the image into there, it automatically uploads and gives you embed codes for forums (like this one!). If the image is too wide for the forum, you can click "large thumbnail" on imgur and it will give you a different embed code that embeds the "large thumbnail" (about the perfect size for the forum) and you can click on it to get to the full size as well.tckma wrote:I'm going to have to sign up for flickr or something since I can't post screen shots directly to the forum.

Gyazo is even more automated, but I don't use it anymore. I think embedding was kinda weird with it.
I don't personally like Dropbox for this purpose because then I have a Dropbox public folder full of this kind of stuff, and when I clean it out, the image is gone from the thread. With imgur, they stay on there "forever". To each his own, though.

Yeah, that's about what I figured, which is why I enclosed "forever" in scare quotes. (To be honest, I thought it was a year since the last view, not that it particularly matters.) Basically, in threads that remain relevant it shouldn't usually be a problem. It's certainly more "forever" than a Dropbox public folder that I might clean out.qwaletee wrote:Not necessarily forever. For anonymous uploads, they get deleted 6 months after the last view. I think if they are in a signed-up account, they won't get deleted.

Haha, I do that as well. Usually I leave the first message and then leave a second message saying something like "oh it's me sketch".petervdveen wrote:I've done it myself multiple times. Report a UR, then a few days later react to it yourself and then remembering, right this was my own UR

I had a trip from Ramona to Santa Barbara, the entire way to and from I was thinking there was no way it could be that correct. But I actually pulled into both driveways at the exact minute it said I would. Impressed to say the least. This was in San Diego and LA rush hour I should also note.bgodette wrote:I had an eta on a 205 mile one way trip through the mountains be accurate to 2 minutes this past Saturday. Don't know how Waze pulled that one off since there isn't much cell coverage where I went.olestas wrote:Yeah, actually sometimes ETA is somehow 100% correct for me, even over quite long distance in traffic, like 30km. However sometimes I drive as officially allowed, and I keep loosing minutes here and there.

Only recalculated once! Told me time increased by 5 minutes.
Kudos on Waze for that one.
