I would really like "Conversation" to be expanded by default, or for Waze to remember which sections I have expanded on previous URs.

While the new UR layout looks beautiful, it actually has increased the number of clicks required to get anything done.

I've noticed a few people using that script in the map raid.

Maybe we do need that avoid ghetto option
Tell the Wazer there is an easy solution: drive through the area very slowly several times; eventually, the average speed will drop and make other routes more attractive. ;)

LOL. Now can WME get those U-turn controls that I proposed a while back?

Here the "driver" who probably is sitting on his/her couch at home, states in spanshi "Borrar casa", that means "Delete house". Since it´s an user reported error, and someone will fix it for sure, I include a pic and a permalink so everyone can ignore where this fellow lives. :D
Maybe he wants to change/delete his current "Home" setting under Favorites?

That problem isn't just grammatical. When informing the driver of an upcoming maneuver, the goal is to convey the level of urgency first, so that the driver can respond appropriately. You don't want a driver to start slowing down the moment the voice prompt says "Get ready...", only to find out that the turn is still a mile ahead. You also don't want the driver to postpone responding until the voice reaches the end (by which time half of that last quarter-mile is gone) and sudden braking is required.
  • So the distance needs to come first.
Another consideration is that the imperative ("turn left") on its own implies immediacy. If you miss the distance announcement for some reason, or there is a long gap between the phrases, "In 800 metres... ... ... turn left", the "turn left" is going to register to the driver as an immediate instruction, even though it is still some distance ahead.
  • So the distinction between preparing for a maneuver, and performing it immediately, needs to be maintained.
Given those constraints, what are the alternatives?
  • "In 800 metres, be ready to turn left."
"In 800 metres, you will be turning left."
Is there any way to word this that doesn't sound just as awkward?

And my area continues to get automatically-generated map errors in my area from GPS tracks that pre-date recent construction. It's bad enough that the GPS points are months out of date, but evidently they're still processing some of these trips, on ramps that have been completely rebuilt.

And who says speech recognition doesn't work well?
ASR doesn't work so well without MPR (Manual ProofReading)!

It sounds like, as the routing gets near his house, it takes an indirect route; most likely a turn is incorrectly restricted, or his neighborhood is still partially basemapped. (I took a couple years of Gibberish in high school.)

If you'e standing at the entrance of the house why do you need a GPS to tell you where to go?
Oh, and from the position of the UR on the aerials I can confirm that you are at the entrance to the house.
The same thing happens when you have a shopping plaza built with its back up against a highway, and a big parking lot in front: Waze navigates you to the highway out back and says "Here you go!" That's why, when mapping a parking lot, it is critical to run a segment right along the storefronts.

In this case, you might be able to solve this problem with a minor change in road geometry, or by giving him a driveway. (I'm not saying give everyone in the neighborhood a driveway, just this one case, to make this one Wazer happy.)
