Did you mark them as solved or "Not Identified"?

If I don't make an edit to the map or know that an edit was made to correct the issue since the last map tile update, I mark as 'not identified'.

The risk here is that the Wazer will get the email and then try to figure out how to fix it themselves. Likely they can't fix the issue since the data that needs to be fixed (POI and Street address lookups) is external to Waze. But I really think solved is not the appropriate response since it is surely not solved.

Best case is the Wazer finds the forum and get search for or ask for help. Then it can be explained how the POI and address lookups function and that likely the best approach is to correct the source data (if it is clearly incorrect), or understand why it works like this.

Sorry, I didn't notice 'Cartouche'. I wouldn't do anything with those. They are obsolete.

"the entrance to Costco is here not on Fenton Parkway. I don't get points for reaching mt destination because I enter the Costco lot from a different dire tion than you register on your maps"

No points since you didn't reach your destination? That's a new one.

905 E AROUND 5 MILES NEW PART OF THE FWY IT'S BEEN OPEN NOT RETECTED FOR THE GPS. ON THE LEFT STILL OPEN, IS THE OLD 905 FWY, OTAY MESA SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA, PLEASE UPDATE IT, BECOUSE THE GPS GOES CRAZY

The new section of SR-905 just opened on 7/30. The map was updated on Monday 8/6. Most of the road was laid in many weeks ago but not connected up since it was only estimated. As we all know there were no map updates for many weeks and it didn't make it in to the update that just processed. Nothing I can do to make it update faster

Waze is also at fault here. Why not prompt the user for the street name and capture it when they choose the missing road report?

Type: General error
Description: poor signage to turn onto laurels grade

And this is Waze's problem?

Missing road (user reported)

Description: road closed
Reported on: December 27

Received 2 of these, this one made it all the way to the closure.

This road closes anytime we have a significant snowfall, like this last week (not that I truly expect out of towners to know that). This last storm created 2 avalanches with in ski areas that killed two people (a very uncommon phenomenon), so this road may not open for another week or it may open tomorrow. That's not my beef.

What are people expecting from their GPS??? If they watched or listened to any road report, they would know Emerald Bay was closed. They passed at least 2 roadside signs stating the road was closed, they had to pass at least one CALTRANS display (CMS) describing the closure and pointing them to a CALTRANS radio station that describes it in audio for them.

I can and have created breaks in the passes that won't open until spring so Waze won't route someone through there. I can't keep up with and Waze doesn't update often enough for the short term closures.

So do they really expect Waze to be so real time that it knows the road conditions better that CALTRANS? Do they drive without looking out the window? Now I know how AlanoftheBerg feels when editors don't read the Wiki.

Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better.
