Many of my recent errors have been about sharp angles caused by two things, 1) moving junctions when at too high an altitude and crossing over a geometry node, and 2) a potential bug I'm investigating with new road drawing and connecting near a geometry node.

You make errors? Tut tut

My thoughts exactly. Got carried away at one point last night and made about 50 edits without saving. Hit save... error (dammit, no highlight). Try again... error (oh oh). Once more... error (Damn!) Hit permalink, confirm leave page and there are my edits saved just nicely!petervdveen wrote:I've got the feeling every new version has more bugs instead of less..
Th've updated from *.23 to *.25, but I get allot more errors.
Also save errors when it did save.
Even though it was only accurate maybe 50% of the time...

Most save errors that I have seen are due to overlapping roads that are not connected and junctions that have been moved which now overlay a geometry node. Yes, the spotlight would be helpful, but you can generally track these down.
Regarding geometry nodes and overlaying them when moving a junction - tip. I always hilight the segment that I am planning to move a junction towards to ensure there is not a geometry node close to the junction I am moving. I delete the geometry node(s) that will be overlaid by the junction (by pressing they keyboard shortcut 'd') BEFORE moving the junction. This avoids this problem.
Of course a reasonable workaround is not to batch too many saves together at one time. I try to keep it to less than 10 changes (especially when adding new roads or moving junctions) to minimize the frustration.
If you are renaming sections of road, changing road direction, etc - that is a lower risk change to cause a save error and reasonable to batch up more before hitting save.
Just my observation with tens of thousands of edits in the new cartouche.

Wasn't one of the stated things that Papy was supposed to do was absorb geometry nodes? Or am I thinking of junctions? Anyway, if it is not in the Papyrus brief it should be. Any geometry node within x distance of a new junction should be absorbed into the junction to prevent those oddball angles in the road.

I've had it about 20-30 times the last 3 or 4 days..
Especially with creating roundabouts.
