Can you confirm that rivers are NOT places that can be edited?
Thanks.

I'm more inclined to say oceans have been excluded.

Can you look into Durban, South Africa?

Off the top of my head, parts of Cape Town, Kommetjie and Strandfontein

Is there not a way of putting the "problem solving" in the hands of the editors, perhaps say using the island place as a work around?

I noticed the issue with water bodies along the coastal of Malaysia since 7 January, 2015. I did create Island area place to 'cover' the problematic water bodies but the rendering fails in certain area at closer zoom, therefore it is not a very good temporary solution.

Some of the affected areas in Putatan, Kuala Penyu and Kudat

Hi, I have found two places in my area which are similar to others in this thread. The position of the roads is fine but they are shown as being under water. I reported them but they haven't been rectified, probably because it's not obvious how to fix....
1) Ritchie Boulevard, Geelong, Victoria, Australia
2) The Strand, Williamstown, Victoria, Australia
I have screen shots which I can email from my iphone :). Send me an email at davej.au@gmail.com if you'd like to see the screen shots
Thanks
David

What is the current status of this please? There are large parts of Abu Dhabi seemingly covered in water and I am unable to correct it.

That's a different issue. In these cases please send your community managers permalinks and screenshots.

Is this to me? I am a country manager for the UAE, I have requested the "underwater" areas but I am still unable to even see these bodies of water in the editor

Not all bodies of water were changed to areas, plus the underwater issue is a complicated one and around the world - fixing it is slow.
