I don't know if this is related, but today I noticed that for a particular English town, Papyrus was showing the same aerials that Google was. Either a) Papyrus has switch to using Google, or b) Bing are buying their aerials from the same source as Google.

After some digging, it seems that Bing and Google have the same aerials for this area. Papyrus and Cartouche also show these same images.

I checked a few other places around the UK, and found that Bing now shows updated aerials for the Ferrybridge junction - this was mostly empty fields when I last looked at it. It's not completely up to date though, as it's still showing old aerials to the south and east. Looking at this point you can see the new freeway coming down from the north, but disappearing below a certain point.

So... I think Bing have (partially) updated their images. Yay?

I can't notice a difference at any zoom level? Am I missing something?

I have seen different ages between zoom levels, sometimes just the most zoomed IN will be different. So I thought that may be what you ran into, but all levels seem the same.

And I only see the older view with no road construction in both editors. :?:

Must be a caching/CDN issue with Bing. Some servers have newer images than others and we hit them randomly.

Now I've noticed this behavior in NJ. Old editor is showing older images and new editor is showing newer images. BIng must be in the middle of a refresh right now.
