I unchecked all other layers except editable areas, disabled all scripts and plug-ins and it does show a thing grey line outlining my driving areas. When zoomed in and layers turned back on I can still edit in these areas but the entire map is darkened making the edges of my editing area nearly indistinguishable from the rest of the map.

The above problem was in Firefox, after switching to Chrome the problem disappeared. Also noted that Firefox is forcing the url
Whereas Chrome is using
Even taking out the "en-GB/" it redirects back to it.

Yes, I'm seeing something similar here with Firefox. If I use a bookmark or PL with a different editor locale to that set in the editor itself, the locale-switch that WME then performs during the session startup prevents my editable areas from being highlighted, although it doesn't prevent me from actually editing within those areas. If on the other hand, the URL locale does match that set in WME, then the area highlight appears as normal.

I've encountered a bug pertaining to an ad-lock.

Sometimes closures are not displayed on WME (IL). For example: ... ts=1054157
This problem appears in many other closures.
It was also in the old version.
The closures appear sometimes when playing with the zoom, or refreshing the page. Sometimes they disappear again when refreshing the page.
