Locked turn restrictions in AM area?

Postby AlanOfTheBerg » Thu Dec 22, 2011 5:23 pm

Can some other level 4 check out this segment, specifically the two junctions on either side, and tell me if you are allowed to change turn restrictions? I am unable to set them manually, and when I select the junction, it shows as uneditable. (Glossary: Image)

I recently read another thread that other's also have trouble with areas "near coastlines."

Yup, same issues. Waze really shouldn't try to be hyper-accurate and try to follow coastlines/country borders for level 4 editing boundaries. I would have no issues level 4 editors some overlap into neighboring countries.

Exactly, they should error the opposite way and allow editing into the ocean also!

Yes, they should. BTW I can't touch any segments or junctions south past Islamorada, and all sorts junctions near coastlines.

Yeah it's an error with the border that waze has. I always presumed my UK rights worked off the country field but Dror confirmed otherwise. There are several areas I've found around the UK where I can't edit.

It seems that Waze has the sea borders incorrectly defined. I reported this months ago in Southern California. Can't edit with Papyrus close to the coast unless it's in my AM area or permissions granted via drive. There have been other posts with the same issues on the East coast.

So basically we have not been granted editing rights close to the coasts, in some/most/all cases - at least in Papyrus.

Check cartouche_old. You may be able to edit these areas/junction there. Security model is slightly different...

Similar issue with Waze switching between infrastructures in border areas such as the US and Mexico. The borders are not accurately defined over the hundreds/thousands of miles.
