I would say read what I posted and do it. If enough people show they are affected, it'll be more likely they will fix it.

The latest beta has fixes for some (not all) devices that experienced this problem. If you have not already installed it, please do. Download link can be found in the announcements- and client forums.

Bug in the application for that specific Android device / OS version / screen resolution. Waze will need to reproduce it and fix.

I have contacted today (2012-09-23) waze support and the answer is not "Thank you for your email,
We're aware of that issue and working to fix it as soon as possible; regards" but "have a look on the FQ forum ...
I have the same problem (to see attachment) with brand new Galaxy Y (Android 2.3.6 Kernel 2.6.35.7 GINGERBREAD.XXLF3) and using Waze application (release 3.2.2.2).
So nothing else since last post (beginning of August) ?

Hello everybody (sorry for my english)
I just have been warned of an update today and I authorized it.
After download and installation ... all became right !!! :D :D :D :D
The release of Waze is now 3.5.0.0
So thanks a lot to the team who made the fix.

Ok, i received an answer:
In reply to your inquiry "I have a font problem on my Samsung Galaxy Young smartphone":
There's a know problem with the non-standard fonts in the Galaxy Young.
We currently have no fix for it (unless your phone's operating system is homebrewed, then you can change the fonts).
Our developer-team is looking for a more general solution.
