Junction nodes in parking lots

Post by manslayr
Is there any function to the junction nodes in parking lots like this one:

Do they serve any purpose or are they just leftover nodes from removed roads?

If you were sharing a PL it would be much easier to tell.

Thanks.
It look safe to me to remove them.
I think someone removed a segment between those two nodes and forgot to remove them. If you look at the satellite image you will see that there is a parking lane where the two nodes could have been connected to each other.
Generally we don't allow two segments to connect to each other on both ends and creating a possible endless loop, but in your case you have this segment breaking the possible loop.
