No U turn split road.

Post by teg916
How do I update this road to indicate no U turn as reported by Wazer?

I am new to editing so I don't want to screw it up.

Going Eastbound on Greenback you can turn left onto Verner Ave. But you cannot make a U turn. With the street split, and drawn as it is, Waze allows you to make a U turn. If I take the segment between the split lanes of Greenback, and tell it no left turn is allowed, then it will also not allow a left turn from NB Garfield ave onto Greenback.

I would call this questionable for needing a split. It appears that anywhere you can turn could be controlled by regular turn restrictions, and there are no destination physically on this road to worry about being routed to a destination on the other side of the median.

If you feel the split is still necessary, you would need a bowtie configuration to limit a U turn at crossroads.. I don't have one of the posts describing this handy, but a search should pull one out.

It's not that much work, if I remember correctly, the split was not very long.

Bowtie it is :) Thanks.

Taking the split out of the road sounds like a lot of work for just 1 intersection that needs to be fixed.

Do we have documentation of the 'bowtie' hack in the Wiki yet?
