I can try that. I'm going to see what "Q.E.W." produces. I'm scared it's going to be "cue east west".
Okay, hold on to your seats, the map has updated and I'm going to try a "Q.E.W. Niagara" ramp in a few minutes to see what happens/explodes.
I remember reading somewhere that if you wanted it to say "double you" for "W" in the client that you needed to enclose the letter in single quotes.
'w'
Does that help?

QEW is standard enough throughout your region (I used to live in Buffalo/Orchard Park and drive up there all the time) that it would seem this should be solved by the Waze TTS programmers just like any standard road acronym (st, lp, blvd, pkwy, etc...) rather than trying to solve it in the map. I would write to them. -- Just my opinion!invented wrote:The acronym "QEW" is getting pronounced "Cue" by TTS; I wanted to replace it with "Q.E.W.". Does anybody have any experience with similar situations, and will this get pronounced like it should?
