I assumed that the question was not about us getting a notification about users creating MTE's, since from reading this we can deduce that the answer is no, it's currently only monitored by the Waze Loc team, but that later on we will have notifications through URs.
Which is why I thought it was about wether our newly created MTE's would be sending out notifications, because unlike the above this was not discussed in the thread already.

The original question was not very specific so it could have been understood either way. In any case both possible interpretations have been answered.

I have the following problems in my area:

1. I cannot create new events in prod WME when in MTE mode (saving error). However I can create events in MTE mode in the WME beta, then see them in prod WME when in MTE mode.

2. I cannot add the events to any new closure that I try to create within the event's specified dates and in standard editing mode. (Events list in closure menu only says "None")

3. In the left pannel where my events are listed they all display this:
"MTEname undefined, NaN - undefined, NaN" (when opening the event to edit everything seems OK)

It's mentioned in the Doc.

In this first phase of the tool, you will be able to create events and upload closures through the WME, but automatic push message and website creation will still be turned off.
*IMPORTANT* For a push to be sent, all event closures need to be created in the WME 48 hours in advance of the event start time.

Once the closures are attached to the event, go back to the event in event mode and mark it “Submit”. Save!

Once your event is marked as “Submit”, somebody from the Waze closures team will review the event and decide whether to send a push message for it.
Once this tool is fully operational, the community will have all permissions to self manage this process.

Note that being able to create an event doesn't necessarily allow you to create real time closures to associate with it. So get in touch with your local editing community to get help.
