Editing camera types

Post by ACBest
Hi all,

Just wondering how to amend the type of speed camera within the editing client? Funny question I know, and one I cannot find an answer too, nor find a way around in the editor - it's just a set of speed cameras on the A17 between Sutton Bridge and King's Lynn (West) aren't appearing on the app as average speed zones.

Thanks in advance,
Damon

Hiya,
Thanks for your reply - I've had a go, but unfortunately I'm not a high enough level to do it.

Many thanks,

There isn't a specific "average speed" type for cameras themselves, so in the UK we currently use the standard "speed camera" type to mark the position of average speed cameras as well as the more traditional types.

However, if you click on the road segment where the average speed limit applies, you'll see one or two "average speed camera" checkboxes (depending on whether the segment is one-way or two-way) in the segment edit panel on the left. Provided you're at a level that allows you to edit the segment, then you can tick these boxes to mark that stretch of road as an average speed zone.
