WRONG ADDRESS

Post by vmholladay
My house address is located on the wrong house on the map. Map editor does not allow me to change where the address is. It only lets me make road corrections. WHY?

In certain countries (where Waze used a Basemap from an official source) Waze uses Bing and/or Google to turn addresses into GPS Coordinates for it to navigate to. Check the address in BOTH Bing & Google and make corrections there - Waze has NO control over if and when those updates are actually made.

Another option is to park where your driveway meets the street. Press and hold and save a favorite of that location (maybe the built in "Home" location) and use that for navigation purposes.

With the recent push to completely eliminate Cartouche, they're supposed to be adding in a functional address layer to WME. Don't know what the ETA is on this though.

If you are in the US, Waze uses Bing to locate addresses and then uses the Waze map for routing. If an address is in the wrong place, that needs to be corrected through Bing, not Waze.
