Nice. It annoys me to find roads like that which have 2 to 5 geometery nodes when none are needed.

Roads around here tend to follow the curvature of the hills and streams, so yeah, same basic problem there. The beauty of doing it the way Alan did above is that you get to watch the lightning-flash effect all over the screen after the save is complete!
