To make matters worse, the Live Map is actually even older (out of sync?).

I have a lot of updates that should have been pushed during the last few map tile updates, but are not showing on the Live Map. For example, I made changes on 4/27/2016 and the last two map tile updates should have caught it, but the Live Map still shows the old state.

I gave up using Waze until it updates the map more often.
I don't see the point having to wait eternally to see the changes.
Good luck!

If they have an idea of what to expect, they can likely live with that. If the time frames change, update the community.

If Waze would just realize that managing the community's expectation with frequent status updates, is just as important as managing or fixing problems, they would gain a community that backs them 100%, no matter what...
Agreed. If at least we knew when it would be updated, we would feel more comfortable contributing to the map, for instance.

Or I can just download OpenStreetMap data with the latest changesets and update i.e. Osmand (Android navigation app) whenever I want.

I'm sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What's the matter? ...Oh, you were finished!
