No update here. Client is no different (even after reloading tile cache) and live map is still 21/8/2012.

You don't see the point, because you don't know the backend of Waze. If it is possible to have a more frequent interval, I'm sure that will be done. The north america infrastructure has recently changed. This is the first step to get back to a stable update process. If all went well, this can result in a daily update, just like a long time ago. Rest of the world gets this update as soon north america is done.daltux wrote:I gave up using Waze until it updates the map more often.
I don't see the point having to wait eternally to see the changes.
Good luck!

This will include a post when we start the process which will let you know which updates are included in the coming update. We will also keep you up to date if we encounter any delays.
What's more frequently?
And is there any news about the deployment of the new infrastructure?
Still, INT tiles update schedule is impossibly slow.
Ehud, what about the map on the client? The client itself displays Arabic fine in the menues and dialogs, but the map shows Arabic disconnected in street names. The live map shows Arabic correctly. Can this be fixed?

I'm using official 4.0.3 on my Galaxy S2. It supports Arabic just fine. Even road and city names in the pop up reports look great. It is just the map itself. I believe the map is rendered outside the client as some sort of raster image. I'm not good with images so I'm not sure. What I'm sure of is Arabic is displayed fine in the live map and the client's menues and reports /user names but not in the map inside the client itself.eshabtai wrote: We're basically using the fonts of the OS. Which version of Android do you use? Does the OS itself supports Arabic?

I checked again, Ehud. Arabic is not even displayed anymore in the client's map. Please check the images from the client and live map below. Notice how it is fine in the pop up but not the map?

Thanks Ehud. Can't wait for the fixed version.
As for the other problems discussed here, I have a roundabout that got screwed up, but sorry, I have already played with it since then. That was around six months ago.
The GPS layer does seem to be a bit outdated. I can't fix many roads that have been changed since the aerials were taken.
Another important problem that is shared all over the world including the US is the delayed cities layer update. I don't have much experience with spatial databases so I don't know what it costs to update these layers, but it would be nice to see them updated once a month or so.
In the end.. Map updates twice a week? What is happening with the world?
