Is there a way to delete a street/segment?

Greetings all, new wazer here and I love it! Take a look at this:

I have a lazy map maker in my area and have been correcting some of his/her work (it seems they draw maps from memory rather than actually drawing over an actual map) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete Orchard Exd. How can I do this? Additionally I want to get rid of the rightmost section connecting Orchard and Fairview so I can properly add that little ring of houses on the right. Is there a way to do that? Thanks for any help.

Did you read the editing manual? There's a section how to delete a road. It's quite I intuitive really: click object, click trash can.
