Ruben, I think this statement is a bit misleading (at least as I saw while testing in ROW):Vespucci41 wrote:Editing segments with lane guidance, i.e: splitting them, will cause lanes data removal so make sure to add map comments where necessary.
Most of the editions that can be made to a single segment has no effect at all to LG data, i. e.: geometry, split, merge, changing [alternate] name, road type, preference, speed, even way of direction (from a one-way to a 2-way, for example).
Actually, something I thought was very clever of lane guidance interface is that when you edit the geometry of a segment, changing the angle between the segments sharing the junction, all the instructions in lanes tab are updated instantly, even before saving. It still keeps the instructions overriden manually, no matter what the new geometry is.
A few other editions do not delete LG per se, instead puts it in a kind of "invalid state": the arrows are shown in gray instead of blue in Lanes tab, with a tiny exclamation in a black circle, and they are not seen in the App. Examples: changing the direction of other segments sharing the same node, adding a new segment to the node, removing a segment from the node.
