Dear Wazers,

I drove out of my country two days ago for a business meeting. Wanting to try waze's ability to guide without 3G connection, I kept it turned on. I was surprised that it continued to guide me to my intended destination 30KM away. Awesome!

Curious, I opened up the waze dashboard today to see how much points I earned on that trip. Sadly, it didnt registered any points. Waze's map editor didnt register my area covered too. Is it because Waze needed to be online on that trip to be able to calculate and give me the points?

Waze at the least needs a connection at the end of your drive to upload your travels data. I've found that when I don't have an internet connection at the beginning or it drops in the middle, sometimes my drives are totally lost.
