I posted this earlier in the unlock subforum. a level four "fixed" the issue instead of unlocking, which i completely appreciate the benefits of.

Fixing user reported problem of U-Turn not allowed, by simplifying the junction structure per the Junction Style Guide and other threads on unallowed U-Turns on divided highways. However, the highlighted segment is the only one locked, meaning its endpoint won't join with the new junction.

however, the way Made2Map structured this junction, a Uturn from one side of a divided highway to the other may still be instructed by the client, when in actuality it is not permitted at that intersection (https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... s=69823531 and https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... s=69823461). This was the reason a user dropped a pin here earlier today, so it seems to me that that user's complaint is not resolved. is the solution not to pinch the junction to a single point, in this case with seven spokes, and set u-turn movements as unallowed?

thanks

The app map doesn't update but once a week. Please see the FAQ as well as the status.waze.com updates.

Were the changes made more than a week ago?

based on the way this intersection (https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat ... s=69823461) allows left turns, it's going to let the client navigate a U-turn. this is the way it is set now on the map, and the way it looked at the time the user dropped the report pin.

the weeklong lag in updating the client with the online map shouldn't really matter in this case, unless or until some change is made.

having said that, it looks like divided highways throughout birmingham are set like this, so i think if it's determined (by an area manager or the like) that the client should instruct uturns in these cases, then it will need to be addressed generally, not just piecemeal.

thanks though.
