Incorrectly Labeled Street

As we can see here: https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-118.2 ... TTTTTTTTFT

There was a problem reported that the address, 500 S Mateo Ave, is appearing on 4th Place instead of on S Mateo Ave. If you google the address, it also appears on 4th Place, not S Mateo Ave. What can be done in this case, since its a GPS or road labeling issue, and not a navigation client issue?

Did you read the FAQ answer? It has nothing to do with the names of streets but is all about where the search providers have the GPS location of that address. To me, it is all about what the FAQ answer says and tells you what to do.

Why would you search on google? Search in the Waze editor and that will return the same location that the app does.

Google isn't the address provider so their data is irrelevant.

Are you sure this is an address lookup error then? Because google's results for a POI at the same address are often different because they store the POI data separately. With google POI info, you can go into Google editor and request the pin be moved.

I searched in WME for "500 S Mateo Ave, Los Angleos, CA" it returned 2 possible results: "500 Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90013" & "S Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90021". Since you referenced 4th Place, I'm guessing this is the result you are looking for...

The pin is closer to E 4th Pl, which is why Waze is routing there (as explained in the FAQ). To make Waze route to Mateo Ave, the pin needs to be moved (again see the FAQ - especially the link that is the last two words).

Just for reference this is the "S Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90021" result:

In the US, Bing is used exclusivly for address lookup - POI search is handled by a variety of providers (that you can select from the tabs on the results page).

When I search Bing for "500 S Mateo Ave, Los Angleos, CA" it returns results for "500 Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90013" with the pin exactly where WME puts it.

When I looked at Google, a search for "500 S Mateo Ave, Los Angleos, CA" returned results for "500 Mateo St Los Angeles, CA 90013", with the pin located significantly to the northwest on the building that is shaped like a 1/4 circle.

Thank you for the FAQ reference but this does not solve the problem. The complicated structure of the streets in this part of Downtown LA is what is causing the problem. I dont believe google or bing have the GPS or street names wrong. 4th Place is exactly where its suppose to be.
