Waze taking inadvisable side jogs

I just ran into a UR I don't think I can fix; I've selected the segements of the Waze-provided route since I'm guessing most of you can't see URs in South Africa:

The GPS tracks showed that the user just went straight on through the roundabout, instead of taking Waze's little side trip. I'm guessing the side route is due to speed data showing that route to be faster than continuing straight, but in practice, this type of side jog is almost always slower (even when there is traffic) than just continuing straight, since the time taken to get back onto the route is much higher than Waze realises.

Is there anything that can be done about this specific case, or about this sort of thing in general? I've closed other, similar URs, where Waze routed a user onto a service road parallel to the main road and back, and other such things; or routed a turn down a side road in advance of a major intersection, leading to a nearly impossible right-turn (we drive on the left) across a busy road with no traffic light to get back onto the route, instead of just turning at the main intersection with a traffic light.

For some of the situations you mention, there is nothing we can do. The only way it will get better is if people actually follow the directions so Waze learns that those paths are not optimal.

That assumes that there isn't just a simple map error like a restricted turn where one shouldn't be or vice versa causing the route.
