As an ongoing effort to improve our search mechanism, we have started a process of improving the internal geocoding of Waze.
This means, Waze will now have better support for house numbers when you search for addresses, and we have the ability to change and update existing data.

As part of this effort, we're looking for sources and existing databases of geocoding, house numbers, rooftops, parcel data and any other databases that could improve our existing ones.
These could be data sets for purchase, or data that are provided free of charge by one of the governmental offices in your country.

Please forward any leads to:
geocodingsource@waze.com

If possible, please forward a URL to the relevant website and especially the T&C, if they exist.

Many thanks for all of those that have already helped, and for those who will!

The problem was I was wondering if that was an appropriate source before I go scouring for nearby sources of the same variety.

The City of Toronto has a vast amount of publicly-available data, some of which would be incredibly valuable within Waze :

http://www1.toronto.ca/wps/portal/conte ... mt=default

The datasets include:
  • Address Points (Municipal)
The One Address Repository data set provides a point representation for over 500,000 addresses within the City of Toronto. Each address point is described with a series of attributes including street number, street name, address type, feature class and real world coordinates. All address points have a position on the correct side of the street, and are correctly positioned relative to neighbouring addresses. They are positioned within the parcel or the building footprint.
  • Turn Restrictions (!!!)
This Dataset contains turn restrictions, turn limitations and multi-level crossing.
  • Green P Parking
This dataset includes Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) information about GreenP and TTC parking lots (off-street parking)
  • Intersection File - City of Toronto
A geospatial file containing all of the street intersections within the City of Toronto.
  • One Way Streets
Linear representations of one way streets found within the City of Toronto.

No, that was in one of the initial announcement that the maps are still separate and should not be copied.
