Intl server virtualearth images loading issues?

I was poking around the world server and am finding that the aerial layer isn't loading reliably. Specifically, here: https://world.waze.com/editor/?lon=23.8 ... 154&zoom=4 for one example.

In looking at the console and Network, I am seeing that many virtualearth tiles are showing MIME type of text/plain instead of the expected jpeg type. Is this a known issue or is it something new? Or am I the only one getting this?

Yes, I see that too. But do you see in the dev tools any messages in the console about failed to load images due to MIME type? Or in the Network tool, jpeg images which show text/plain as the MIME type?
