Private Road Naming Convention

I am working on an area that has a lot of country and private numbered roads. I have been modifying the country road names to CR-#### as noted in the wiki and that is all fine and dandy.

My question is related to the private roads. I do not see a naming convention for them and according to this sheet there isn't a good way(unless i'm reading it wrong) to say private road (i.e. PR).

What is the correct naming convention for private roads? Private Rd, Pvt Rd, PR?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is an example:

If it truly has no name, like a really long rural shared driveway, it gets no name at all. If it is a named private road, I usually just name it and don't put pvt in it at all. These are more often than not, not through roads and Waze will only route onto them if the destination lies within the private area.

If it's a road with homes on either side, it depends on how long it is, whether it is of use, especially when guiding someone in the dark who doesn't know where they are going.

If multiple people live on these private named roads, I leave them on there for the reasons Alan noted. There are a few out in the country around here, and calling them "Pvt Rd 352", for example, allows the TTS to read it properly, so I've been doing that.

In some cases, I've found that properties on that road are actually addressed with the private road name as the street address, i.e., "3152 Private Road 12". If it's an address someone could navigate to, it definitely should be shown on the map.

Or if the home(s) are set back from the street so much, that they are closer to a road that runs along the back of the property (that provides no access).

I've been deleting those. If you look at them, they're mostly driveways or roads that lead to farm/ranch buildings. They're of no real importance to Waze except to maybe serve as an identifier of "it's the road before I'm supposed to turn" but if you're listening to turn by turn directions, then you should be ok with that.
