Help fixing my issue.

I have an issue with Waze which I reported 22 days ago. 21 days ago, on 1/4/13, Made2Map claims to have fixed my issue and it stated to wait 10 days for cache to clear. I waited 20 days and re-reported my issue yesterday. I just got an email stating DMoore0625 couldn't find my issue and to provide more information... So I am coming to the forums for help in solving my issue.

As I am driving south on the side road of Research Parkway to turn left on plumber road, I am told to keep to the right way after I pass the ramp to get onto Research. I am told when I'm suppose to keep to the left to turn left onto Plumber. The only issue I think exists on the map is that the side road to turn left isn't only a u-turn road, which I just now realized that's what it looks like on the map.

Would changing that to also connect to plumber fix my issue?

I think that u-turn lane should be simple 90-degree turn under the freeway. There's no need for the at-grade connector lane. That way, a driver being instructed to turn there will get a turn left, but drivers heading to Plumber will not get anything at that junction.

If you did that, you'd get a "turn right" 60m (nearly 200ft) sooner than the actual turn.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the side road to turn left isn't only a u-turn road" which is the way it is shown on the map. But, yes if that road isn't just for u-turns, then correcting the map to reflect any changes in the intersection may well fix your issue.

The way the OP reads to me, he's getting a "keep right" after passing the u-turn road, which would imply Waze is trying to route him the wrong way down Plummer for some reason.

Rather than make the u-turn a straight connecting road, could he just kink the connection of that and the right turn a little so they're closer to 90 degrees? If it's done at a low enough zoom level, it will barely be noticeable on the client map.

So you want a left instruction to match more closely with the turn lane stripping?

Well, we don't make the roads on a per lane instruction, it is based on a per road instruction.

Sorry... I didn't receive any email notifications of a reply.

Yes, this road has 3 lanes. Two lanes go straight and 1 lane is a left turn or u-turn only.

I get confused when I'm told to stay to the right as I think I should be in the very right or middle road which is not the case. I should be in the left turn lane.

Does Waze state that you need to make a U-Turn when you do? I know it would say "Turn left on Plumber Road" which I think should be enough.
