I've got an "m" on my map and I can't get rid of it!

Post by CrackedLCD
When editing the map, Waze overlays the city name at most zoom levels, and in the city of Mobile, Alabama, I've got a rogue "m" (permalink) hovering over a cemetery that I can't see to get rid of.

I've found a few of these elsewhere in the past and fixing them was as simple as zooming in on the erroneous name and finding the street segment underneath with an improper city name. In this case, I've checked all the roads in the cemetery and all the surrounding roads but can't find anything with "m" in the city or state field at all.

So I'm throwing this out to the wider community as I'm but an egg when it comes to smear hunting. How can I fix this?

Yes, it is not disappearing due to the issue. The city layer shading also is pretty clear from the shape that this was the only segment causing the issue.

The Highlighter Script will help you find those pesky misnamed segments (as well as the ones with it in Alt-Names).

Waze has acknowledged that there is a problem with the City Layer script where it is not removing city names that have had all segments removed from the map. They are working on it.

I'm using both the Highlighter and whatever that other one is. WME Add-Ons… I must conclude then that this is one of those issues that they are working on, because I can't find a lonely 'm' anywhere to save my life.

Thanks for the quick response. Even as a new CM, I continue to learn new things every day. :geek:

Can't wait for this to be fixed. It is annoying if you accidentally mess up. It never goes away. I fixed one PC these 2 months ago...it is still there :(
