Archive colors

What do the colors mean when you are viewing a route in your archive? There is green, yellow, and red.

They seem to correspond to "UPDATE_TOO_SHORT" or "NEW_IN_UPDATE".

I'm not one of the developers... but in my experience. A yellow track indicates that it was confident that the track was matching up with the road, but for some reason it was not good enough to use for validating the road.

Update too short I normally find when there was a GPS track problem part of the way through that road segment. And then sometimes I get Speed to fast right after that. I think it's just a timing thing with getting the GPS samples, and it screwed up the tracking.

Red signifies that the system could not match your track to a road. Either your GPS was sampling a little too far off from where the road really is. Or possible the road (if there is one) is wrong in Waze.

Yellows I normally just keep an eye on, and see if repeat trips continue to have a problem there. Reds normally indicate map editing time.

Cartouche is acting up right now, so can't see the permalink. But discontinuous tracks are basically not really helpful. If they are broken up, then the server has a hard time matching them up with the roads. Might even say it matched up, but be with the wrong road. If a track is acting badly I don't take much stock in it, and move onto the next one.
