Waze forum

(And apologies if this answered someplace I couldn't find.)

I know you can't yet add gas stations on the NA server, but where does Waze import them from? I'm puzzled because there was a UR pointing out missing gas stations; meanwhile, I've found them in the Bing Maps search. (I assume that's the source, because Waze seems to draw on the Bing database for other business searches...)

I was wondering this myself this last weekend. While browsing around the map, I keep finding these little squares that are the gas stations, yet are either a.) nowhere near the actual gas station, or b.) no longer there. I've found at least three that were the wrong brand, having been rebuilt in the last year or two.

I was only commenting that I was wondering where the data came from, since a lot of it is wrong or outdated.

Gosh, I've got to keep up better with the forums! Missed that thread. Lemme go study it when I get home, and then work on resolving some of the URs that pop up about missing gas stations.
