New (redundant) road creation

Guys,

We have a little situation:

'New' roads keep appearing on practically the same place as previous (imho correct) roads have been mapped. Is there any way to prevent this? Most of my map editing time nowadays is removing roads :).

Looks like someone is driving around with create new roads on all of the time.

They might. But I created roads on the there when my 'record new roads' was OFF (and another user as well, I checked it with him). And a lot of times when I drive roads which are already in the map with 'record new roads' ON, it doesn't create a new road. So this is pretty inconsistent.
