You'll see that I raised it again in this thread.

When I first complained about this, over a month ago The Fej said they were aware of it and would fix it. Which made me think it was a bug/oversight.
But the response from Omer is that it was a deliberate decision for performance reasons.
I don't think that is true.
I can't conceived of the performance benefit at the lowest (furthest out) zoom level - it's hard to think of why anyone would be browsing out at that level, UNLESS you are looking for problems to fix - like red lines for new roads.
My goal was to clear many cities of all red lines as they came up. I've given up until this is fixed because it will take hours. There's no performance gain if I have to scan in tiny little grids.
And I know I'm not the other one.
I suggest anyone who cares about this write in to alpha@waze.com, linking to this thread - I'll repost the relevant extracts from the other thread here:

If Waze can really justify why they have dropped out the red lines at the top zoom levels, I'll be a lot more tolerant. But it seems a made up reason for a bug they can't be bothered to fix.homer wrote:t's not a simple task, yet we try to figure out what'd be best way to do it. currently, we prefer having it from zoom 4 and up in order to keep the cartouche responsiveness.waynemcdougall wrote: i) The red lines for new roads in Cartouche no longer appear at the top 4 (lowest zoom) levels. This makes it very hard for Area Managers to see where new roads have been recorded. I've given up map editing until this is fixed - it was broken in the last (that I know of) update to Cartouche. We were told it would be fixed. I know other AM's are very frustrated. Status update on this (as per A) and please please fix it.
