Those suburb names are generated automatically when people enter the suburb name in the City field for road details. A bad idea for small cities. A good idea for a city that has grown up to encompass many towns and villages with their own church, main, queen and long streets.

Waze is looking at adding more hierarchy into this naming structure.

The displayed location is centers on the streets with that city name. So the more accurately named streets the better the location.

And to fix a misspelling find the roadborvroafscwith the wrong name and edit the correction. The find address box will usually help you locate big only a handful if streets then they're probably adjacent to the displayed name.

The name that is wrong may take weeks to clear from the system.
