No aerial maps for Timisoara,Romania

Hello,

Can you please add some aerial maps (maybe from google ?) for Romania (especially for Timisoara) so we can add/edit roads easier/faster.

The problem is that in most of the country we have aerials at 100m, but in Timisoara they're only available at 1000m.

As far as I know google maps are under GPL. If you give waze for free, I don't understand why you need the maps to be free for comercial use. Do you plan to sell waze when the comunity builds most of the maps or it will remain free for ever ?

Hello Everybody:

Here in Waze, we are awarded about the issue but for now we do not have a better areal images for this specific zone.
When we have a better ones we will upload them.

Waze cannot use google's aerials. If there aren't currently any aerials in your area then that means they haven't found any free ones.

If you know of any aerials that are free for commercial use, you can email alpha@waze.com

I am far from a lawyer, but I believe it is more complicated than non-commercial use issue. From Google's terms and conditions (http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/help/terms_maps.html)...
2. Restrictions on Use. Unless you have received prior written authorization from Google (or, as applicable, from the provider of particular Content), you must not:
<snip>
(g) use the Service or Content with any products, systems, or applications for or in connection with (i) real time navigation or route guidance, including but not limited to turn-by-turn route guidance that is synchronized to the position of a user's sensor-enabled device; or (ii) any systems or functions for automatic or autonomous control of vehicle behavior.
And I don't think it is a stretch to argue that using the imagery to aid in editing through Cartouche is "in connection with real time navigation or route guidance".
